Walking down the road one day, enjoying the delight of the moment, I was struck with the beauty of even the most ordinary vista on Galiano Island. To capture this feeling, I took a picture of a roadside that had been partially cleared, nothing special, and put it on canvass. I tried to be realistic, but there is so much happening here, I couldn’t possibly capture it all, the island is full of life, every nook and cranny expressing it’s own beauty. The painting invites the viewer to come, explore the exquisite beauty of this everyday moment and remember that all our moments invite us to do the same.
