Description
Our family has a tradition of camping at Dionisio Provincial Park every summer, for most of the past 35 or so years. We used to drive in, but these days we take Dan White’s water taxi. We have the best time, and each year it just gets better. “Dreaming of Dionisio” is the painting I created this summer, just after our camping trip, full of joy and appreciation for all the beauty we were privileged to share. This vista, which we share with the arbutus and Garry oaks, overlooks Perry’s Lagoon (Coon Bay), the island, sandy beaches and warm rocks for bare feet and beach towels. Valdes Island peeks through at the far left top corner at the rhythms of sky and water that weave the pieces together.
24″ x 30″ acrylic painting on stretched canvas, the painting continues around the side so framing is optional.
