Description

The enchanting vista from The Bluffs on Galiano Island. The Bluffs Park Nature Protection area, named for the magnificent 300 ft shoreline ‘bluffs’ located there, was created in 1948 through a land donation by Max and Marion Enke and the financial donations of many islanders. We go out of our way to drive through The Bluffs and stop, even for just a moment, to drink in the beautiful scene. In this painting, a Garry oak enjoys a twirl with the breeze as it travels over Active Pass. Coral highlights peek through the rich blues and greens of the distant islands and a gentle path invites the viewer to explore this beautiful place.
